About Wendell Lowe
Indianapolis artist, Wendell Lowe began his career as a graphic designer and art director. He has won numerous awards for his designs and illustrations. He eventually returned to fine art, which led him to the Stutz Building, where he had a studio and served as president and show chairman of the Stutz Artist Association from 2000 - 2002.
Wendell has exhibited widely, including such galleries as the Stutz Art Gallery, the Arts Garden, Clowes Memorial Hall, Indiana State Fair and the Penrod Art Festival to name a few.
In 2009 Wendell was diagnosed with early stage Parkinson's disease. Over the past several years he has had to reinvent his approach to creating art. After experimenting with different mediums and styles, he has found that his passion for photography and soft pastels to be a natural progression.
" No matter how things develop, I'll continue to work at my art and photography to raise awareness, educate others and invite them to get involved in the fight to cure Parkinson's disease "
